Activities like making Christmas crafts bring the family closer together. Snowman crafts are fun to make especially for children of all ages. These crafts are easy to make and will ensure that everyone has fun. There are many types of snowman crafts you can make.

You can make a number of snowmen for your front porch and to decorate around the house. You will need a few materials to make a snowman. These can be bought with the help of the children making the work more exciting. You will need

• White paint – make sure it is safe for children to use.
• Black paint
• Pink paint
• Glue
• Paint brushes
• Flower pot
• Wood ball

You will also need pieces of material and buttons which you can find at home.

When you have all your material together, you can start making your snowman. First the flower pot and the wood ball have to be painted white. Painting is a messy job so make sure that the kids have completely covered their clothes. You may want to put newspapers on the floor to protect it from stray paint. The flower pot is for the body whilst the wood ball is for the head.

When the head and body have dried, they can be glued together and then painted. Using cotton swabs, lightly pat pink paint for the cheeks. Make small dots with black paint for the eyes using the handle of a paint brush and draw the mouth as well. Using a pencil, draw the nose and make it pointed like a carrot then paint it orange. Your snowman will be in need of a stocking hat and a scarf. So you will make these from the pieces of materials and then glue them to the snowman. You will need black buttons which will be glued on the body of the snowman. Your snowman is now ready for display!
